How to Be Consistently Happy

 Do you want be happy on a consistent basis? Day after day no matter what happens in your life?

 I have learned that happiness is REALLY dependent upon our inputs or what we allow into our inner self, our spirit, or what some call our heart. What we put into ourselves can either promote happiness and peace or it can promote turmoil, anger, hate, and a host of other negative results. Show of hands, who wants happiness and peace on a regular basis?

I'll show you what the Bible says and then you can get rolling on this path to true happiness.

First of all, we all know it says in Proverbs 4:23 to "guard your heart for out of it are the issues of life." We know that means to guard our thoughts because what you think runs your life. 

So, the first step is to guard what you let into your mind via all external sources, whatever you decide. You pick.

How do we do that? What's best for us? Phillipians tells us... 

Philippians 4:8 NIV [8] Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things. 

Choose those things that guard your heart and will build you up. Don't choose things that tear you down or break you down. Choose things that are noble, right, pure, lovely, admirable, or excellent filling your mind with those things. I find this works!!! 

You might be like the Corinthians when Paul addressed them:

1 Corinthians 10:23 NIV

[23] “I have the right to do anything,” you say—but not everything is beneficial. “I have the right to do anything”—but not everything is constructive.

We do have the right to do anything sure, but not everything is beneficial or constructive (profitable). Many things will not contribute to a happy life. So, guarding our mind, choose things that will. 

Finally, Jesus said don't let dark, evil things into your mind via the eyes or your whole body will be affected by it. Don't let the bad stuff in. It will influence you.

Matthew 6:22-23 NIV [22]  “The eye is the lamp of the body. If your eyes are healthy, your whole body will be full of light. [23] But if your eyes are unhealthy, your whole body will be full of darkness. If then the light within you is darkness, how great is that darkness!

Now, how do we live a happy and peaceful life on a regular basis? Control what we let into our minds. What you put in is what you'll get out. So lets put only good things in. Love you guys
