Proverbs 18:21 NIV
[21] The tongue has the power of life and death, and those who love it will eat its fruit.
Some translations say "the power of life and death is in the tongue."
The spoken word has power in your life. If you speak negative things over your life, that's what you'll receive. If you speak good, positive things over your life that's what you'll receive.
We can't control the world around us. Life is life and things happen. However, we can bring things upon our lives just by what we speak out of our own mouths.
Speak positive, life giving statements because Jesus said, "from out of the heart the mouth speaks."
If you ever want to find out what is in your heart, listen to the way you talk at any given time. If you want to know what is in another person's heart listen to what they say and you'll find out.
Make a great life for yourself by speaking life-giving, positive words into your life and watch God work in your life to make it a reality.
