We Just Have to Be Available.

You don't have to worry about whether or not you can make a difference in people's lives. You don't have to worry about if you are able to love people like Jesus wants and commanded us to do. HE WILL DO IT THROUGH US BY THE HOLY SPIRIT. He will bear fruit through us to impact the world around us. We just have to be available.

When we were saved, He poured out the Spirit of Jesus, the Holy Spirit, into our heart:

Galatians 4:6 NIV

[6] Because you are his sons, God sent the Spirit of his Son into our hearts, the Spirit who calls out, “Abba, Father.” 

This event was the great mystery that would be revealed in these last times: 

Colossians 1:27 NIV

[27] To them God has chosen to make known among the Gentiles the glorious riches of this mystery, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.

This is the very event that Jesus told us about before He left the earth:

John 14:16-18 NIV

[16] And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another advocate to help you and be with you forever— [17] the Spirit of truth. The world cannot accept him, because it neither sees him nor knows him. But you know him, for he lives with you and will be in you. [18] I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you. 

So, when we are saved, the Holy Spirit comes to live in our hearts which is God's seal which guarantees our inheritance which is to come. He will bear His fruit through us:

Ephesians 1:13-14 NIV

[13] And you also were included in Christ when you heard the message of truth, the gospel of your salvation. When you believed, you were marked in him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit, [14] who is a deposit guaranteeing our inheritance until the redemption of those who are God’s possession—to the praise of his glory. 

Here are the fruits He will bear in each of our lives:

Galatians 5:22-23 NIV

[22] But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, [23] gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law. 

We don't have to strive or work or strain to produce these things in our lives, Jesus does it by His Holy Spirit which is in us:

John 15:5 NIV

[5]  “I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing. 

And:

John 15:7-8 NIV

[7] If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you. [8] This is to my Father’s glory, that you bear much fruit, showing yourselves to be my disciples.

So as we remain in Jesus, the Vine, by the Spirit within us, we will bear much fruit, the fruit of the Spirit. We can confidently approach life and people, knowing that we have everything inside us to love everyone, as Jesus works through us by the Spirit inside us. We just have to be available.
